Hind Management and Sudima Hotels have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with His Majesty King Tupou VI to develop a new upscale hotel, resort and convention centre in Tonga -

The MOU was signed during Prime Minister Christopher Luxon’s recent visit to Tonga and reflects growing confidence in the Kingdom’s tourism future and the role of New Zealand businesses in supporting long-term Pacific development.

The development is designed to strengthen Tonga’s ability to attract international visitors and host major gatherings helping address demand for quality accommodation and event infrastructure.

For Hind Management, the Tonga project is consistent with a broader Pacific growth strategy, expanding the group’s third-party operating platform beyond New Zealand while creating meaningful, lasting outcomes for local communities. The development will prioritise local employment, skills development and sustainable operations from the ground up.
